WHAT IS REVENUE OPERATIONS?

Sitting beneath the nine pillars is the revenue operations function, which features operations, processes and technologies.

 

More than sales operations, revenue operations is an inclusive term that describes all the support systems that help the revenue team—marketing, sales and service—to function on a day-to-day basis.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Revenue operations provides solutions—tools and support—necessary to operate the revenue function. These solutions help the revenue team to perform in an exceptional manner—higher productivity, more sales and lower costs. Think of revenue operations as providing municipal services to the revenue community: keeping things organized, reducing bottlenecks, and providing improved solutions to various revenue functions, systems and populations.
